Al Berard is an accomplished fiddler and singer who has won numerous awards from the Cajun French Music Association including 2006 Song Of The Year, and 2007 Fiddler Of The Year. He received a Grammy Nomination for Best Traditional Folk Music Recording, in 1991. Al is a master of the old-time manner of “seconding” which is an important component in the traditional Cajun fiddle band style nearly lost in today’s generation of performers.
