No musical experience is necessary to learn to play this beautiful, soothing Appalachian instrument. Come enjoy the music in a relaxed, non-competitive environment and take away the skills necessary to continue to play and expand your repertoire on the mountain dulcimer. We will introduce basic melody and strumming technique using the ear and a simple tablature system. The traditional tunings of DAA, DAC and DAD will be covered as we learn to play simple folk songs, hymns and lovely mountain tunes.
